Job Summary

Leading a remote team of migration engineers, the contracted Network Migration Architect will oversee overnight cutover operations, manage complex fault resolutions, and ensure seamless transitions from legacy Cisco and Juniper hardware to current platforms during the 11:00 PM to 8:00 AM CST shift.

Key responsibilities
  • Manage the end-to-end cut window for a team of 7 to 8 engineers, setting the order of operations and maintaining communication during the process
  • Act as the escalation point for complex issues, diagnosing and resolving faults in real-time while guiding non-network personnel through physical remediation
  • Author and validate Method of Procedures (MOPs) and cable matrices to ensure alignment with design and prevent outages
Required qualifications
  • Active CCIE or equivalent Juniper expert level certification (JNCIE) is mandatory
  • Architect-level expertise in Cisco IOS, IOS XE, Nexus platforms, and Juniper Junos
  • Proven experience leading a team of cutover or migration engineers during live change windows
  • Hands-on experience with MOP authoring and execution, as well as cable matrix creation and validation
  • Ability to guide non-network onsite personnel through troubleshooting and remediation over the phone
