Network Migration Architect

Job Summary

Leading a remote team of migration engineers, the contracted Network Migration Architect will oversee overnight cutover operations, ensuring the successful replacement of legacy Cisco and Juniper hardware while managing complex issues and decision-making under pressure.

Key responsibilities

• Manage the end-to-end cut window for a team of 7 to 8 engineers, directing operations and resolving complex faults in real time
• Hold the Key 6 credential, ensuring secure access for cut engineers and maintaining compliance with client security policies
• Author and validate Method of Procedures (MOPs) while building and verifying cable matrices to prevent outages

Required qualifications

• Active CCIE or equivalent Juniper expert level certification (JNCIE)
• Architect level expertise in Cisco IOS, IOS XE, Nexus platforms, and Juniper Junos
• Proven experience leading a team through live cutover or migration operations
• Hands-on experience with MOP authoring and cable matrix validation
• Ability to guide non-network personnel through physical remediation over the phone
