Network Migration Architect

Job Summary

Leading a remote team of migration engineers, the contracted Network Migration Architect will manage overnight cutover operations, ensuring the successful replacement of legacy Cisco and Juniper hardware while making critical decisions under pressure.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee the end-to-end cut window for a team of 7 to 8 engineers, setting the order of operations and maintaining communication
• Act as the escalation point for complex faults, diagnosing issues and directing resolutions in real time
• Author, review, and execute Method of Procedures (MOPs), ensuring alignment with design and device states prior to cut windows

Required qualifications

• Active CCIE or equivalent Juniper expert level certification (JNCIE) is mandatory
• Architect level expertise in Cisco IOS, IOS XE, Nexus platforms, and Juniper Junos
• Proven experience leading a team of cutover or migration engineers during live change windows
• Hands-on experience with MOP authoring and cable matrix creation
• Ability to guide non-network personnel through physical remediation over the phone
