Network Operations Engineer
Job Summary
Providing 24/7 monitoring and technical support for global network infrastructure, the full-time remote Network Operations Engineer will assist in the configuration, maintenance, and troubleshooting of various network devices and solutions, ensuring compliance with security policies and best practices.
Key responsibilities
- Assist with the configuration, installation, and maintenance of firewall devices and customer-facing networks
- Implement system configurations in compliance with corporate security policies while providing multi-layered technical support
- Track issues in the ticketing system and escalate complex customer issues to senior engineering resources as needed
Required qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent 5+ years of work experience
- Hands-on experience with Cisco ASA/Firepower, Fortinet FortiGate, and Cradlepoint routers
- Solid understanding of the OSI model and troubleshooting experience with routing protocols (BGP, OSPF)
- Experience supporting and troubleshooting SD-WAN environments
- Relevant industry certifications such as Cisco CCNA/CCNP or Fortinet NSE preferred
