Network Operations Specialist

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Network Operations Specialist I.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide customer support by answering calls and triaging emails, assisting with service desk level support, and documenting work performed
• Support and maintain network router and wireless environments, performing basic troubleshooting of network communications issues
• Contribute to network projects, conduct quality assurance on network inventory, and develop documentation related to supporting the IHS agency

Required Qualifications

• Baseline knowledge of routing protocols and experience with configuring routers for OSPF, BGP, and Layer-2 technologies
• General engineering support experience for WAN, LAN, and Wireless systems, particularly with Cisco, Palo Alto, and Aruba products
• Understanding of basic WAN circuit types and experience in circuit incident management
• Knowledge of ITIL Framework is preferred
• Ability to track tasks using tools like ServiceNow for ticketing
