Network Operations Supervisor

Job Summary

Leading a team of technicians, the full-time remote Network Operations Supervisor will oversee the Network Control Center's operations, ensuring effective incident management, workflow efficiency, and timely resolution of network issues while mentoring staff and collaborating with senior leadership.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate activities for Network Control Center technicians, ensuring adherence to operational standards and effective incident escalation
• Drive the resolution of network outages and customer complaints, collaborating across multiple functions to achieve service level agreements
• Mentor and coach staff, facilitating training sessions and creating educational materials to enhance team skills and knowledge

Required qualifications

• Five to seven years of related experience, with at least one year in a leadership capacity
• Extensive knowledge of Layer 1 network technologies and experience with optical transport and dark fiber networks
• Familiarity with Telecommunications Support Platforms, including inventory and ticketing systems
• Ability to review fiber network drawings and understand fiber and cable characteristics
• High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's degree in telecommunications or related field preferred
