Network Planning Engineer

Job Summary

Supporting Local/ILEC Access Planning remotely, the contract Network Planning Engineer II will research fiber capacity, develop OSP project plans and cost estimates, and prepare Engineering handoff packages in accordance with established planning standards.

Key responsibilities:

• Research fiber capacity and develop OSP project plans and cost estimates
• Prepare Engineering handoff packages for customer-driven demand
• Ensure compliance with established planning standards and documented processes

Required qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field
• At least two years of OSP network planning experience
• Working knowledge of OSP fiber facilities and telecommunications engineering principles
• Experience using TIRKS, GSA, and/or NDS for analyzing fiber routes and network inventory
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word
