Network Security Architect

Job Summary

To support a critical migration initiative, the remote Network Security Architect will collaborate with application teams to define and implement network security requirements for secure cloud adoption on AWS, focusing on designing and validating network security architecture.

Key responsibilities

• Collaborate with application and infrastructure teams to analyze network security requirements and translate them into actionable policies
• Design and validate network security architecture in AWS, ensuring effective use of security controls and firewall policies
• Document best practices for cloud network security design and support troubleshooting of existing configurations

Required qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in network security architecture or engineering, with a focus on cloud environments (AWS preferred)
• Strong understanding of network security controls, including firewalls (Palo Alto experience desired) and AWS networking components
• Proven ability to translate application connectivity needs into firewall rule sets and network security designs
• Experience working in a collaborative Agile or DevSecOps environment
• Ability to work independently and drive results in a fast-paced environment
