Network Security Engineer

Job Summary

To support enterprise security initiatives, the remote contract Network Security Engineer will design, implement, and monitor security infrastructure across on-premises, cloud, and hybrid environments while managing next-generation firewalls and threat detection platforms.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, deploy, and manage enterprise network security solutions
• Monitor security events using SIEM and SOC monitoring platforms
• Investigate security incidents and support incident response activities

Required Qualifications

• Experience with Fortinet, SonicWall, and Palo Alto firewalls
• Strong knowledge of Zero Trust architecture and cloud security (AWS, Azure)
• Hands-on experience with SIEM solutions like Splunk or QRadar
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Information Technology, or related field preferred
• Relevant certifications such as CISSP or CompTIA Security+ are preferred
