Network Security Engineer

Job Summary

To support enterprise Zero Trust initiatives, the remote contract Network Security Microsegmentation Engineer will design, implement, and maintain microsegmentation policies using Illumio while collaborating with various teams to analyze application traffic flows and enforce least-privilege access.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain microsegmentation policies using Illumio
• Analyze application communication flows and define dependencies
• Troubleshoot blocked or unexpected traffic and support change management operations

Required Qualifications

• 7 years of experience in network security or cybersecurity engineering
• 5 years of hands-on experience with Illumio
• Strong understanding of Zero Trust principles
• Solid networking fundamentals including TCP/IP, DNS, and firewalls
• Experience with firewall policy design and traffic analysis
