Network Security Engineer

Job Summary

Supporting enterprise Zero Trust strategies, the contract Network Security Microsegmentation Engineer will design, implement, and maintain microsegmentation controls using Illumio, collaborating with various teams to enhance cybersecurity posture while working remotely during EST hours.

Key responsibilities

• Design and implement microsegmentation controls to minimize lateral movement risk
• Collaborate with application, infrastructure, and security teams to analyze traffic patterns and troubleshoot connectivity issues
• Ensure secure application communications in hybrid and on-premise environments

Required qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in network security or cybersecurity engineering
• Hands-on experience with Illumio or similar microsegmentation platforms
• Strong understanding of Zero Trust architecture principles
• Solid networking fundamentals, including TCP/IP, DNS, routing, and firewalls
• Proficiency with Windows and Linux operating systems
