Network Security Engineer

Job Summary

Seeking a skilled Network Security Engineer with a Cyber Security focus, this full-time remote position will manage complex LAN/WAN environments, lead cyber security hardening initiatives, and modernize network workflows through automation tools.

Key responsibilities

• Provide Tier 3 troubleshooting for complex LAN/WAN environments, ensuring high availability and performance
• Lead the implementation of Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIGs) and manage vulnerability assessments using Nessus/Tenable
• Utilize automation tools like Ansible and Terraform to modernize workflows and support cloud-integrated networking

Required qualifications

• Deep expertise in Cisco and Aruba networking with experience in LAN/WAN troubleshooting
• Mastery of cyber security tools including Nessus, Tenable, and STIG hardening processes
• Experience with government compliance workflows such as PO&AM, SCA audits, and PVG
• Proficiency in automation tools including Ansible, Terraform (AWS), and SolarWinds
• Active security clearance or eligibility to obtain public trust is preferred
