Job Summary
To support cybersecurity efforts for DHS USCIS systems, the full-time remote Network Security Engineer will establish cybersecurity architecture, evaluate network designs for security integration, and manage the implementation of security solutions across various platforms.
Key responsibilities
- Establish a new cybersecurity architecture and standard controls to enhance protection against threats to USCIS systems
- Evaluate and integrate security measures into current and future network designs while managing security incident responses
- Automate IT security processes and create actionable intelligence for threat detection using various security tools
Required qualifications
- 10 years of experience in network engineering and operations, with 3 years in deploying security products
- Proficiency in configuring and securing Cisco networking technologies, including Nexus and ISE
- Prior experience with configuration management tools like Cisco Prime or Orion SolarWinds
- One active certification such as CCIE Security or CCNP Security, approved by the Government Program Manager
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Management, Engineering, or a comparable field
