Network Security Engineer

Job Summary

To enhance enterprise network security, the full-time remote Network Security Engineer will design, harden, oversee, and continuously improve network security architecture while collaborating with various technology teams and ensuring compliance with organizational risk standards.

Key responsibilities

• Review and recommend improvements for network security configurations based on industry best practices
• Administer and optimize Palo Alto Networks Next-Generation Firewalls and Panorama for security governance
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to secure the deployment of new technologies and services

Required qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, Network Engineering, or related field, or equivalent experience
• Ten or more years of hands-on enterprise networking experience, including routing, switching, and firewalls
• Experience in structured, change-controlled enterprise environments with a focus on security architecture and incident response
• Proficiency with Cisco routers and switches, Palo Alto Networks firewalls, and network security monitoring
• Preferred certifications include CISSP, PCNSE, or CCNP Security
