Network Security Principal Engineer

Job Summary

As a senior technical leader, the full-time remote Network Security Principal Engineer will design, implement, and evolve global network security platforms, ensuring scalability and performance while providing strategic direction and technical leadership across the network lifecycle.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the design and architecture of complex network security solutions, ensuring compliance with enterprise standards
• Translate business and cybersecurity requirements into secure, resilient network solutions while driving the adoption of Zero Trust principles
• Provide technical leadership for network security engineering teams and influence strategic decisions regarding network security capabilities

Required qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a technology-related discipline or 6 years of additional work experience in lieu of a degree
• 8+ years of experience in IT and Network Engineering, focusing on large-scale network security solutions
• Strong experience with incident response, threat mitigation, and security architecture
• Proven expertise in firewall platforms, network access control, and VPN technologies
• Experience working in highly regulated environments such as healthcare or manufacturing
