Network Solutions Operations Engineer

Job Summary

Providing second-level technical support for GTT's client base, the full-time Network Solutions Operations Engineer will manage break/fix support, incident resolution, and proactive problem management while working remotely.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver break/fix support for customer services across the international network
• Own and resolve incidents swiftly, collaborating with customers and internal/external teams
• Conduct proactive problem management and configuration of network and security elements

Required qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of experience in a Telco, Service Provider, or Managed Services Provider environment
• General knowledge of Telecom/SP/MSP industry standards and products, including DIA & IP Transit services
• Understanding of SD-WAN technologies, routing protocols (BGP, OSPF), and L2 technologies (VLANs, Spanning-Tree Protocols)
• Experience with network security technologies and tools such as NGFWs, NAC, and VPNs
• Familiarity with Linux/Unix-based tools and Cisco/Juniper networking equipment
