Network Technician

Job Summary

Working remotely on a full-time basis, the Network Technician will perform continuous 24/7 network monitoring of PON, DWDM, IP, and Ethernet networks, ensuring timely communication and escalation of network events while managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor Network Management systems for alarms and document all network events with accuracy and urgency
• Create and update trouble tickets, assigning them to the appropriate internal workgroups for resolution
• Communicate network event alerts and updates to internal teams and coordinate with external telecommunications providers

Required qualifications

• 2- or 4-year technical degree and/or equivalent training
• Experience in ISP, telecommunications, or network operations preferred
• Ability to make informed decisions regarding troubleshooting and escalation within established procedures
• Strong professional attitude and effective problem-solving skills
• Good computer and written/verbal communication skills
