Neurosurgeon Physician Advisor

Job Summary

To support a venture capital fund's investment strategy, the part-time Neurosurgeon Physician Advisor will provide clinical insights into neurosurgery, evaluate emerging healthcare technologies, and offer guidance to portfolio companies, working remotely for 2-3 hours per month.

Key responsibilities

• Evaluate startups through the lens of neurosurgery, focusing on workflows, procedures, and patient safety
• Assess investment opportunities in digital health, neurotechnology, and surgical innovations
• Advise founders on clinical implementation, regulatory considerations, and commercialization strategies

Required qualifications

• MD or DO with Neurosurgery training
• Active clinical practice preferred
• Strong understanding of neurosurgical workflows and perioperative care
• Familiarity with medical devices and healthcare regulations
• Interest in digital health and venture capital
