Nevada Certified Risk Adjustment Coder

Job Summary

To support the Risk Adjustment team, the full-time remote Nevada Certified Risk Adjustment Coder will audit clinical documentation for accurate coding practices in compliance with CMS guidelines and assist higher-level analysts in various departmental functions.

Key responsibilities:

• Review clinical documentation to ensure accurate coding and reimbursement in line with CMS guidelines
• Support higher-level analysts with research and internal department functions as needed
• Document chart review results in a Risk Adjustment database for reporting purposes

Required qualifications:

• National Professional Coding Certification from AHIMA or AAPC
• Some work or educational experience in medical coding or healthcare
• Functional knowledge of medical terminology, acronyms, anatomy, and physiology
• Demonstrated basic-level experience with Microsoft Office products
• Completion of internal CRC training and competency evaluation within one year of hire
