Job Summary
To support a dynamic Government & Industry Affairs team, the remote Nevada Licensed Government Affairs Lead will manage external lobbyists, develop state-specific advocacy messaging, and cultivate relationships with key government officials across multiple states.
Key responsibilities
- Serve as the primary accountability manager for external lobbyists, setting performance expectations and conducting regular assessments
- Translate corporate policy positions into tailored advocacy messaging based on local political dynamics
- Develop and maintain relationships with state legislators and regulatory agencies, while monitoring relevant legislation affecting social gaming and consumer protection
Required qualifications
- 7-12+ years of experience in state government, lobbying, or legislative affairs
- Demonstrated experience managing external vendors or consultants against defined deliverables
- Working knowledge of gaming regulation, sweepstakes law, or consumer protection policies
- Established relationships with key government officials within the assigned regional portfolio
- Experience in multi-state lobbying roles within fast-moving industries such as technology or gaming
