Job Summary

Verifying insurance coverage and authorizations for genetic testing, the full-time Nevada Licensed Insurance Specialist will work remotely to ensure timely completion of insurance verifications in a high-production environment.

Key responsibilities

• Verify insurance coverage benefits and determine patient out-of-pocket costs for genetic testing
• Send authorization requests and follow up on their statuses weekly
• Coordinate with vendors to obtain timely and accurate prior authorizations

Required qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Knowledge of CPT codes, medical terminology, and ICD-10 codes
• 1-2+ years' experience in a clinical laboratory, preferably in genetic billing
• 1-2+ years' experience in obtaining approvals for prior authorizations
• Strong computer skills and ability to adapt to a fast-paced environment
