Nevada Licensed Nephrologist

Job Summary

To support military medical operations, the part-time Nevada Licensed Nephrologist will provide remote on-call coverage, conducting telephonic consultations and, if necessary, in-person evaluations at Mike O'Callahan Military Medical Center, ensuring continuity of care for patients.

Key responsibilities

• Provide remote telephonic or virtual nephrology consultations during scheduled on-call periods
• Respond to in-person activation requests within 60 minutes if medically necessary
• Manage patient care and daily reassessment until cases are concluded or transferred back to the primary nephrologist

Required qualifications

• Doctor of Medicine (M.D.) or Doctor of Osteopathy (D.O.) degree
• Completion of an ABIM recognized internal medicine residency and an additional nephrology fellowship
• Minimum of 24 months of nephrology practice or accredited training within the last 36 months
• Current board certification or board eligibility in Nephrology
• Permanent, full, and unrestricted Medical License to practice in Nevada
