Nevada Licensed Preservice Review Nurse

Job Summary

To support healthcare providers, the remote Nevada Licensed Preservice Review Nurse will review requests for medical necessity, utilizing approved protocols while maintaining compliance and accuracy in clinical case notes.

Key responsibilities:

• Evaluate and assess requests to verify eligibility and determine benefit levels based on site of service
• Utilize written criteria to approve, pend, or escalate cases to the medical director for review
• Precept and act as a resource for new staff while maintaining compliance with regulatory standards

Required qualifications:

• A current, unrestricted RN license for the state of Nevada
• 2+ years of recent critical care, ER, and/or med-surg nursing experience
• Proficient with Microsoft Word and able to navigate a Windows environment
• Ability to conduct Internet searches and use Microsoft Outlook
