Nevada Licensed Principal Engineer

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Principal Engineer to focus on production cost modeling and analysis for power market scenarios.

Key Responsibilities

• Utilize advanced analytical tools to assist with investment decisions in generation, storage, and transmission capacity
• Simulate power system operations and assess resource adequacy, reliability, and transmission congestion
• Develop and validate economic hypotheses regarding power system operations and prepare detailed study reports

Required Qualifications

• Master of Science in Electrical Engineering, Mathematics, or Economics; Ph.D. preferred
• Over 10 years of experience in the power industry and production cost analysis
• Experience with power system modeling tools such as PSSE and PSLF
• At least 5 years of experience in grid planning or wholesale electricity market operations
• Significant experience in developing energy market policies and engaging in regulatory discussions
