New England Medical Director

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Medical Director for the New England Region.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee utilization review and quality assurance of inpatient hospitalizations, prior authorizations, and appeals
• Participate in the development, implementation, and evaluation of clinical/medical programs
• Support Medical Management staff with timely responses to members and providers, including various review processes and committee participation

Required Qualifications

• Two or more years of experience in Health Care Delivery System, including clinical practice and the health care industry
• Active and current medical license without encumbrances
• M.D. or D.O. with active and current Board Certification in an ABMS or AOA recognized specialty
• Post-graduate direct patient care experience
• Ability to obtain a New England state medical license if not currently held
