New Jersey CPA Audit Manager

Job Summary

Leading audit engagements for a portfolio of clients, the full-time New Jersey CPA Audit Manager will manage projects from planning through completion, serve as the primary client contact, and mentor junior staff while primarily working remotely with occasional in-office requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, manage, and execute audit and assurance services for clients in the Life Sciences/Pharma, Manufacturing, Distribution & Logistics, and Employee Benefit Plan industries
• Oversee and develop staff, ensuring technical accuracy and compliance of their workpapers and financial statements
• Cultivate client relationships and participate in business development activities, including networking and proposal preparation

Required qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting; Master's degree is a plus
• Current CPA license is required
• 6+ years of recent auditing experience in a public accounting firm, including supervisory or in-charge roles
• Experience in Life Sciences/Pharma, Manufacturing, Distribution & Logistics, and/or Employee Benefit Plans is strongly preferred
• Strong knowledge of US GAAP, GAAS, and ERISA/DOL requirements for EBP engagements
