New Jersey Licensed Actuarial Manager

Job Summary

Leading the newly established No Surprises Act (NSA) actuarial team, the full-time New Jersey Licensed Actuarial Manager will develop and oversee actuarial forecasts, reserves, financial analyses, and reporting related to federal NSA activity while collaborating with various departments to enhance data processes and communicate key results to stakeholders.

Key responsibilities

• Lead actuarial workstream for NSA, including forecasts, reserve estimates, and profitability analyses
• Partner with multiple teams to gather and validate data for NSA financial analysis and reporting
• Create reporting packages summarizing NSA trends, liability movements, and financial impacts

Required qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mathematics, Statistics, Actuarial Sciences, or a related field
• 7+ years of actuarial and/or statistics experience with attainment of Associate level in the Society of Actuaries (ASA)
• Supervisory experience preferred
• Expert knowledge of Excel and advanced proficiency with SAS
• Knowledge of NSA regulations is highly preferred
