New Jersey Licensed CDI Specialist

Job Summary

To enhance clinical documentation quality, the remote New Jersey Licensed CDI Specialist 2nd Level Reviewer will conduct in-depth reviews of medical records, collaborate with healthcare teams, and provide education on coding guidelines and documentation best practices.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct detailed reviews of medical records to ensure compliance with coding guidelines and documentation accuracy
• Analyze audit results and data trends to identify opportunities for process improvement and provide recommendations to stakeholders
• Develop and deliver educational materials and training programs for providers and CDI staff on documentation best practices

Required qualifications

• BSN, PA, NP, or Doctorate degree in a medically related field required
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in a clinical documentation improvement role
• Minimum of 5 years nursing experience in adult acute care settings required
• Active RN, MD, DO, NP, or PA license required
• CCDS and/or CDIP certification, as well as CCS certification, required
