New Jersey Licensed Child Psychiatrist

Job Summary

To support a growing virtual Behavioral Health Program, the part-time New Jersey Licensed Child Psychiatrist will diagnose and assess mental health disorders in pediatric and adolescent patients, provide medication management and counseling, and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team remotely.

Key responsibilities

• Diagnose and assess mental/behavioral health disorders, formulating differential diagnoses for patients
• Provide medication management and counseling, educating patients and parents on treatment plans and medication usage
• Collaborate with therapists and medical leadership to discuss and modify patient treatment plans based on clinical assessments

Required qualifications

• MD/DO with active NJ medical license and valid DEA license
• Board eligible or board certified in child and adolescent psychiatry
• Experience in psychopharmacology management with children and adolescents
• Valid Medicaid number in NJ or NY preferred
• Strong organizational skills and ability to work collaboratively within a healthcare team
