Key Responsibilities
- Code inpatient records and validate UHDDS elements while ensuring compliance with coding guidelines
- Collaborate with the CDI Team to enhance code capture and implement physician queries when necessary
- Meet productivity and accuracy standards for coding discharges/encounters across various inpatient settings
Required Qualifications
- High school graduate
- CCS-AHIMA's Certified Coding Specialist
- 2-5 years of coding experience in ICD-10 and DRGs
- Knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and disease processes
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite; EPIC and CAC experience is beneficial
