New Jersey Licensed Inpatient Auditor

Job Summary

A company is looking for an Inpatient Hospital Auditor II.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conducts audits of hospital billing and coding practices and identifies billing discrepancies
• Compiles audit statistics and presents findings to relevant stakeholders
• Trains new staff on audit procedures and updates audit processes in line with new innovations

Required Qualifications:

• High School Diploma/GED required; Bachelor's degree in Health Information Management preferred
• Minimum of 3 years experience in a medical records department of an acute care hospital or healthcare facility
• Experience with DRG validation and ICD-10-CM/PCS training
• Requires RHIT, RHIA, or RN with CCS; preferred CCS, CCS-P, or CCA certifications
• Knowledge of medical terminology, hospital structures, and payment systems is required
