New Jersey Licensed Lead CDI Specialist

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Lead CDI Specialist.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist supervisory staff with workflow and day-to-day operations to meet department goals
• Conduct training and mentoring sessions for new and existing staff
• Manage assigned work queues and validate monthly reporting for staff and leadership

Required Qualifications

• Minimum three years of experience as a CDI specialist
• Associate or Bachelor of Science in Nursing, Medical Graduate degree, or equivalent clinical health profession degree
• Certified Clinical Documentation Specialist (CCDS) or Clinical Documentation Improvement Practitioner (CDIP) certification required
• Strong working knowledge of ICD-10 CM/PCS coding conventions and DRG systems
• Experience with clinical record reviews and EHR systems
