Job Summary

To support the accuracy and integrity of patient health information, the part-time Medical Records Coordinator will manage chart correction requests and guide staff through compliant processes while primarily working remotely after initial onsite training in Moorestown, New Jersey.

Key responsibilities
  • Ensure the completeness and accuracy of patient records through detailed review and correction activities
  • Manage and prioritize chart correction requests and coordinate resolutions with internal teams
  • Investigate and resolve patient identity issues, including duplicate records and potential identity theft concerns
Required qualifications
  • Background in Health Information Management or Information Systems with at least two years of related experience in a clinical environment
  • Proficiency with electronic medical record systems and general computer applications
  • Associate degree in a related field preferred, with RHIA or RHIT credentials considered a plus
