New Jersey Licensed Mental Health Specialist

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Mental Health Specialist II to provide support and services for clients of the 988 Lifeline Services.

Key Responsibilities

• Interact with clients in a therapeutic manner and model effective coping and communication skills
• Assist clients in identifying personal recovery goals and develop interventions based on those goals
• Advocate for appropriate resources for clients based on assessed needs

Required Qualifications

• Four years of full-time paid experience in a relevant mental health or human service field, or a Bachelor's Degree in a related field
• Ability to handle phone requests under time and decision-making pressure
• Experience in crisis intervention
• Physical capability to lift up to 20 lbs and walk throughout the program space
• Willingness to work in a clean, well-lighted, and moderately loud environment
