New Jersey Licensed Mental Health Specialist

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Mental Health Specialist II (Per diem) for the NJ Hopeline.

Key Responsibilities

• Model good communication, recovery-oriented living skills, and effective coping strategies for clients
• Accept and respond to service requests via calls, chats, and texts within a prescribed timeframe
• Document client contact information and input data accurately in the unit's informational system

Required Qualifications

• Four years of relevant full-time paid experience, or a bachelor's degree in a relevant mental health, social, or human services field
• Ability to handle phone requests under time and decision-making pressure
• Physical ability to stand, walk, and lift up to 20 lbs
• Experience with crisis intervention
• Knowledge of resources and programs relevant to client support and referrals
