Job Summary

To support the 988 Lifeline Services, a full-time New Jersey Licensed Mental Health Specialist will assess client needs through telephone, chat, and text interactions, providing support and appropriate referrals while maintaining comprehensive knowledge of available resources.

Key responsibilities

• Models effective communication and recovery-oriented living skills to clients
• Responds to service requests within prescribed timeframes and documents all client interactions accurately
• Collaborates with staff and referral sources to ensure appropriate client disposition and satisfaction

Required qualifications

• Four years of relevant full-time experience in the mental health field or a Bachelor's Degree in a related field
• Knowledge of mental health resources and programs
• Ability to perform assessments and make appropriate referrals
• Experience in crisis intervention and handling high-pressure situations
• Familiarity with documentation protocols and data entry in informational systems
