New Jersey Licensed Mental Health Specialist

Job Summary

Providing essential support to clients of the 988 Lifeline Services, the full-time New Jersey Licensed Mental Health Specialist will assess service needs, respond to requests via phone, chat, and text, and offer appropriate referrals while maintaining comprehensive knowledge of available resources.

Key responsibilities

• Models effective communication and recovery-oriented living skills to clients
• Accepts and responds to service requests within prescribed timeframes
• Documents client interactions and maintains accurate data in the unit's information system

Required qualifications

• Four years of relevant full-time paid experience in a mental health field or a Bachelor's Degree in a relevant mental health, social, or human services field
• Ability to handle phone requests under time and decision-making pressure
• Experience in crisis intervention
• Knowledge of community resources and programs related to mental health services
• Willingness to work night shifts from 12a to 8:30a, Monday through Friday
