Job Summary

Providing essential support for the 988 Lifeline Services, the part-time New Jersey Licensed Mental Health Specialist will manage client interactions through calls, chats, and texts, conducting assessments and offering appropriate referrals during weekend shifts from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

Key responsibilities

• Models effective communication and coping skills for clients while delivering recovery-oriented support
• Responds to service requests promptly, ensuring timely communication with clients
• Maintains up-to-date knowledge of available resources and programs for client referrals

Required qualifications

• Four years of relevant full-time experience in the mental health field or a Bachelor's Degree in a related area
• Experience in crisis intervention and assessment
• Ability to work under time and decision-making pressure
• Knowledge of mental health resources and referral processes
