New Jersey Licensed Mental Health Specialist

Job Summary

Providing essential support for the 988 Lifeline Services, the part-time New Jersey Licensed Mental Health Specialist will manage client interactions through telephone, chat, and text, conducting assessments and offering appropriate referrals from 4 PM to 12:30 AM.

Key responsibilities

• Models effective communication and recovery-oriented living skills for clients
• Responds to service requests promptly and maintains comprehensive knowledge of available resources
• Documents all client interactions accurately in accordance with departmental protocols

Required qualifications

• Four years of relevant full-time paid experience in a mental health field, or a Bachelor's Degree in a relevant mental health, social, or human services field
• Demonstrated competency in client assessment and support
• Ability to handle high-pressure situations and crisis intervention
• Familiarity with documentation and data entry protocols
• Experience in providing customer-friendly services in a mental health context
