New Jersey Licensed Mental Health Specialist

Job Summary

To support the 988 Lifeline Services, a part-time New Jersey Licensed Mental Health Specialist will provide assessment and support to clients via telephone, chat, and text from 4 PM to 12:30 AM on Saturdays and Sundays, ensuring timely and effective service delivery.

Key responsibilities

• Models effective communication and recovery-oriented living skills to clients
• Responds to incoming service requests promptly, maintaining a high standard of client interaction
• Documents client interactions accurately and maintains knowledge of available resources for appropriate referrals

Required qualifications

• Four years of relevant full-time paid experience in a mental health field or a Bachelor's Degree in a relevant mental health, social, or human services field
• Ability to handle phone requests under time and decision-making pressure
• Experience with crisis intervention
• Knowledge of community resources and programs related to mental health services
• Capability to lift up to 20 lbs and perform duties in various working conditions
