Job Summary

To support the 988 Lifeline Services, a part-time New Jersey Licensed Mental Health Specialist will assess client needs through telephone, chat, and text requests, providing appropriate support and referrals while ensuring timely documentation of interactions.

Key responsibilities

• Interact therapeutically with clients to assess their needs and provide support
• Handle service requests effectively and in a client-friendly manner
• Document assessments, interventions, and client interactions in accordance with established policies

Required qualifications

• Four years of relevant full-time paid experience in the mental health field, or a Bachelor's Degree in a relevant mental health, social, or human services field
• Ability to work under time and decision-making pressure
• Experience in crisis intervention
• Capability to lift up to 20 lbs
• Familiarity with documentation procedures in a mental health context
