Job Summary

Providing essential support for the 988 Lifeline Services, the part-time New Jersey Licensed Mental Health Specialist will interact with clients through phone, chat, and text, conducting assessments and offering appropriate referrals while ensuring a client-friendly experience.

Key responsibilities

• Interact with clients in a therapeutic manner to assess their needs
• Handle service requests effectively and document assessments and interventions in a timely manner
• Authorize appropriate dispositions based on client assessments and prescribed procedures

Required qualifications

• Four years of relevant full-time experience in the mental health field or a Bachelor's Degree in a relevant mental health, social, or human services field
• Experience in crisis intervention and handling high-pressure situations
• Ability to work evening shifts, totaling 16 hours per week
• Competency in recognizing and addressing the unique needs of diverse clients
• Familiarity with documentation and assessment procedures in mental health services
