Job Summary

To support the 988 Lifeline Services, a part-time per diem New Jersey Licensed Mental Health Specialist will assess client needs through phone, chat, or text interactions, providing therapeutic support and appropriate referrals while ensuring effective service delivery.

Key responsibilities

• Interacts with clients in a therapeutic manner to assess their needs
• Documents assessments, interventions, and client interactions in a timely manner
• Handles service requests efficiently and in accordance with established procedures

Required qualifications

• Four years of relevant full-time paid experience in a mental health field or a Bachelor's Degree in a related field
• Ability to manage phone requests under time and decision-making pressure
• Competency in crisis intervention techniques
• Experience in documenting client interactions and assessments
• Familiarity with mental health service delivery protocols
