Job Summary
Providing per diem support for the 988 Lifeline Services, the New Jersey Licensed Mental Health Specialist will manage client assessments, respond to service requests via phone, chat, or text, and offer appropriate referrals while demonstrating recovery-oriented skills.
Key responsibilities
- Models effective communication and recovery-oriented living skills for clients
- Accepts and responds to service requests within prescribed timeframes
- Documents client interactions and maintains up-to-date knowledge of resources and programs
Required qualifications
- Four years of relevant full-time paid experience in a mental health field or a Bachelor's Degree in a relevant mental health, social, or human services field
- Ability to work under time and decision-making pressure
- Experience with crisis intervention
- Competency in client assessment and support skills
- Familiarity with documentation protocols and data input in informational systems
