Job Summary
To support the 988 Lifeline Services, a part-time New Jersey Licensed Mental Health Specialist will interact with clients through telephone, chat, and text, providing assessments, support, and appropriate referrals while documenting all interactions in a remote work environment.
Key responsibilities
- Interacts with clients in a therapeutic manner to assess their service needs
- Handles service requests effectively, ensuring client-friendly interactions
- Documents assessments and interventions in accordance with established policies
Required qualifications
- Four years of relevant full-time paid experience in the mental health field, or a Bachelor's Degree in a relevant mental health, social, or human services field
- New Jersey Licensed Mental Health Specialist certification
- Experience in crisis intervention and support services
- Ability to work under time and decision-making pressure
- Willingness to lift up to 20 lbs. as needed
