Job Summary
To support the NJ Hopeline, the part-time New Jersey Licensed Mental Health Specialist will manage client interactions via phone, chat, and text, conducting assessments and providing appropriate referrals while ensuring a customer-friendly service experience.
Key responsibilities
- Interacts with clients in a therapeutic manner to assess their needs
- Documents assessments and client interactions in accordance with established policies
- Ensures all service requests are handled effectively and in a timely manner
Required qualifications
- Four years of relevant full-time paid experience in the mental health field or a Bachelor's Degree in a relevant mental health, social, or human services field
- New Jersey Licensed Mental Health Specialist certification
- Experience handling crisis intervention situations
- Ability to work evening shifts, totaling 16 hours per week
- Competency in applying assessment and support skills for a wide range of client issues
