Job Summary

Providing culturally competent peer support services, the full-time Military/Veteran Peer Support Specialist III will respond to requests via phone, chat, and text, while developing peer relationships and ensuring service delivery aligns with individual needs, with the potential for a fully remote work arrangement.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain peer-to-peer relationships to identify emotional or behavioral changes in individuals served
• Conduct telephone screenings using standardized templates to assess service needs across various populations
• Document all interactions and maintain up-to-date knowledge of eligibility and admission criteria for services offered

Required qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent
• At least three years of active duty service or 30 days in a combat zone, or four years in the National Guard
• Ability to use a computer for recording services and basic office functions
• Willingness to work nights, weekends, and holidays as needed
• Demonstrated ability to work both independently and collaboratively as part of a team
