Job Summary
Providing person-centered and culturally competent services, the part-time New Jersey Licensed Peer Support Specialist will engage with individuals contacting the Call Center, offering peer support and appropriate referrals while documenting interactions in a remote work environment.
Key responsibilities
- Engage individuals served in an empathic and concerned manner, providing customer-friendly services
- Review service requests and referrals, responding according to departmental procedures
- Document contacts and interventions in a timely manner in accordance with established policies
Required qualifications
- High School diploma or equivalent required
- At least three (3) years of experience caring for older adults with dementia or significant medical issues
- Two (2) years of experience specifically working with dementia patients and their families
- Demonstrated ability to use a computer for recording services and basic office functions
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
