Job Summary

Managing specialty medication prior authorizations, the full-time remote Central Prior Authorization Pharmacy Technician will coordinate with prescribers, patients, and insurance providers to ensure timely processing and approval of specialty drug therapies.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage and process prior authorization requests for specialty medications
• Communicate with provider offices, patients, and specialty pharmacies to obtain necessary clinical documentation and authorization approvals
• Submit, monitor, and track prior authorization requests through various systems and follow up on pending cases to ensure timely patient access

Required Qualifications

• New Jersey Licensed Pharmacy Technician
• Experience with specialty medications and prior authorization processes preferred
• Knowledge of commercial, Medicare, and Medicaid insurance plans
• Familiarity with specialty pharmacy workflows and reimbursement procedures
• Proficient in Word and Excel or related software
