New Jersey Licensed Safety Associate

Job Summary

To provide remote and direct supportive care, the part-time New Jersey Licensed Safety Associate will promote quality patient care and safety under the direction of a Registered Nurse, working days from 7 a.m. to 7:30 p.m.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor and observe assigned patients to ensure safety and report any changes in condition to appropriate staff
• Collaborate with the healthcare team, patients, and families to deliver compassionate and coordinated care
• Complete necessary documentation and reports related to patient care and safety

Required qualifications

• Knowledge of patient rights and the ability to advocate for patients and caregivers
• Understanding of health information documentation methods and patient safety practices
• Completion of a Patient/Sitter Companion Program and/or De-Escalation class is preferred
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association is preferred
• High School Diploma/GED or equivalent is required
